What is PositHive?

Positive Hull CIC Founder and CEO Jenny Purdue and the APA creator and Founder Susan Feve have come together to create PositHive after both providing drop-in sessions and open access workshops in and around the Hull Community. Coming together to provide both services in one Arts and well being centre with an approach to self care that is person centred.

The programme follows positive psychology and incorporates elements of mindfulness and NLP. All our volunteers are Mental Health first aiders, as well as providing open access arts workshops and activities as part of our empowerment to teach skills of the arts and exhibitions.

Jenny and Sue have a vision that society should dismiss labels. people are people no matter what their title, race, religion or diagnosis. Mental health does no discriminate. And by treating people as individuals they hope to help one person at a time battle stigma or disadvantage.

PositHive is the epicentre for a vast network of other community hubs across the city that follow a similar PositHive ethos. We hope to be the Lubricant between all other amazing services that this city has to offer, and that we can signpost to using our independent directory, in the hope of better channels of communication and support of better fit for members.

PositHive is open seven days a week inside Prospect Shopping Centre Hull. Providing community drop ins for art and well being events, exhibition space. We will have weekly guest speakers on our platform. It is a tailored personal well being programme and membership for each of our members. So next time you are in Hull City Centre pop in for a chat and view some local artist works.

You can follow all of our activities here or over on our social media pages and keep up to date with what events we have happening
